- Blue Ridge School, St. George,
Virginia USA
- How much emphasis on urban versus
wilderness searches?
- For about half the
course (Lost Person Behavior) the basic concepts apply equally well to both. About 70% of
the emphasis will be wilderness/rural searches and 30% for urban searches.
Among the "urban" profiles, dementia, children, and despondents will be
well covered. These three profiles also are common wilderness
incidents in many areas.
-
- For the Urban Search
pre-conference course, the entire course will be focused on Urban/Suburban
incidents.
-
- Will you be offering a second class?
- Not at this time.
In 2009 the first class filled rapidly and the schedule allowed for a
second class. However, this year a second class after the first will not
be possible. However, we will offer a pre-course class on Urban Search and
Investigation.
-
- Do you still have space in the August
8-12th class?
- Yes. We also have space in the Urban Search
and Investigation pre-conference workshop as well.
-
- Can I bring someone to stay with me
in the room who is not taking the class?
- Yes. They will need to
pay for food and lodging even if sharing a room. The rates are quite
reasonable.
-
- Do you travel to put on the
Train-The-Trainer?
- Yes. If you meet either
minimum attendance or a flat fee the course can be offered at your
location. We recently offered a TTT in Nova Scotia. Call or email for details (contact
us).
- .
- Do I have to take the LPB TTT to
sign-up for the Urban Search and Investigation pre-conference workshop?
- No. You can
sign-up for one or the other, or both.
